Shopping for the Significant Other

I know, I know... The cheapo background and lack of finishing - my trademarks :P I just got tired of drawing it -_- I got the idea for the drawing while reading a book about advertising and the type of ideas they convey (and also now one person knows that the stuff you say is always going to end up biting you in the ass - yes, you know who you are :P).

The Book: Heterotehdas: televisiomainonta sukupuolituotantona by Leena-Maija Rossi

I know it sounds super boring but it was actually pretty interesting.

...

Tiedän, et pitäis enemmän viimeistellä, mutta ei jaksa *_* Laiskuus. En ees jaksa samoja juttuja suomeks kirjottaa xD

Why are you so apologetic and self-critical? Does the textual self-lamentation give something extra for the beholder of the picture? Or is it irony? (Rhetorical questions)

To me the topic and perceived substance of the picture are very insightful, e.g. good, and the "sketchy" execution supports them well. At least it gave me a good laugh!

Keep up,

Well, I suppose it has something to do with the fact that I had a certain picture in mind how it should be but ran out of patience to take the picture to that level. Also, I think that Finnish people in general have a habit of undermining their work - it's just a cultural thing :)

Thanks for the comments ^^

"Should be" vs. "As is"... I prefer the latter, and it seems that you do, too. That's why I pondered a bit :)

You might be right about the cultural thing. I'm Finnish, too, I just thought that this is an international blog *blush* - sorry about not mentioning it. And who would'nt want to be a stereotypical representative of one's culture? :D

Alas, I bother you no more (except, perhaps, by glancing the pictures occasionally),
