Winter sales madness

As you all know, the winter sales are here. You have been stuck at home for two to three long, long days and finally your wait is over - let the shopping begin! At other times it would seem ridiculous to stay inside for hours (wearing your thickest winter coat and sweating like a small piglet) and ferosciously going through piles of clothes while fighting off that lady who's obviously after the sweater you spotted. During the winter sales, all this is perfectly reasonable. Spending your afternoon in some other way, such as going out for a walk, watching a movie, reading a nobel prize book or maybe curing cancer, is entirely out fo the question. There are good reasons for this, however, since people quite rarely do anythign without a good reason.

One purpose of the sales is that you can buy things you have lusted after for a very cheap price. But there is also another purpose, the more important one: to buy things that you think you might wear sometime at that crazy party at Kate's but end up never touching since you took it out from the bag.

These shoes are a combination of both. A beautiful mix of glitter, girlyness and dubious colour. Something that every girl wants to have somewhere in the depths of her closet.

Ever get the feeling when you just start thinking about things? Like words. Which ones do you like, hate or use most often? I think one of the words I like the most is quite. It makes other words sound a little more interesting. For example if you say "I had never seen anything so curious before" and you just add quite, it immediately sounds better.

I had never seen anything quite so curious before! Strange.
